Why do you still need the key?
The community Cage Key record describes a key used to free a caged Child NPC, who then follows the player. Clearing enemies and releasing the child are separate steps.
The record associates the key with a Checkpoint wave. It does not establish the exact award timing or that every Checkpoint uses the same sequence. Check the current objective and keep a key intended for the child out of your sale list.
Does an unallocated item have no use?
No. Unallocated means it was not used by the selected plan. It does not establish a zero sell value or prove that you should discard it. This page does not publish a verified cash price, guaranteed spawn point or complete list of every possible use.
